Uaar (or modern Norwegian: Uår) is a Norwegian term for a year haunted by crop failures leading to famine, spread of diseases and death. Norwegian band Uaar plays the accompanying soundtrack with filth-ridden black hardcore thrash portraying cold bleak landscapes filled with famine, death, abuse of power and the struggle and fight to overcome the hardships
