Rock in Progress started as a band playing covers of some of the greatest rock legends that have accompanied and inspired us over the years. Recently, we started making our own music. In 2020, we released our first single: Relativity. This song talks about our perception of time as a relative experience. Depending on what we are going through in our own lives, time may feel to be running so much faster than for anyone else. If you could buy some time, would you do it? In 2021, we released our second single: Soul Search. It took us an entire year to finish this song, but we think all the effort was worth it. On the music side, Soul Search has a very interesting mix of ingredients such as vocal harmonies, a powerful verse leading to a softer chorus, an instrumental interlude with two guitar solos on top of each other, different time signatures and a few tempo changes. This song reflects our admiration for those who made progressive rock a part of our musical lives. On the lyrics side, this song is a spiritual journey about the dialogue between our inner and outer voices. We are sometimes surrounded by others who are eager to share their views on what we should do with our lives, while we are trying to find our own path. In the end, we were never wrong.
