Influenced by his father, who used to write poems and play the guitar, Puerto Rican Jose Nogueras began composing at the age of 17. He made his debut with the release of Salsa Estival. José Nogueras has received many recognitions during his lifetime but he treasures being side by side with Cheo Feliciano creating songs such as his worldwide known Amada Mia. Nogueras' songs have also been performed by talented tropical artists Rubén Blades, Héctor Lavoe, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Olga Tanon, Ismael Miranda & Tony Vega, among others. Nogueras, known for his versatility in rhythms and styles, is still producing songs for him and other artists. In the last years he has also written two books about "Positive Living". In Puerto Rico he's a christmas symbol for his tradition of more than 40 years releasing a new album every christmas. Nogueras’ latest salsa album is José Nogueras Con Su Salsa.
