Drawing inspiration from a broad spectrum of musical influences, producer Dan Chandonnet aka Chando, explores a number of different genres in his productions ranging from house, to instrumental hip-hop, and drum & bass, to downtempo. Chando's sound is driven heavily by keyboard/synth melodies, where the electric piano, or organ is often times the backbone of a given song. Adding live sampling, a little bit of improv, and a bit of live vocals to the mix translates to a unique live electronic experience on stage. Chando's eclectic DJ sets also highlight a wide variety of genres focusing on downtempo, instrumental hip hop, house, melodic bass, and more often than not, will include some live improvisational keys sprinkled throughout. Enlisting Nate Etter for live performances, Chando continues to evolve in the ever growing Colorado electronic music scene with their unique brand of live electronic house/hip-hop/DnB, which features live drums and keys.
