Биография

Merty Shango is an artist and ghostwritter from Jamaica Queens, New York. Shango grew an interest in Hip Hop as a child when he saw guys rap battling in the New York City streets. He was so intrigued that he became a student of the art form and practiced to eventually join few of these corner rap battles. Shango then took the passion to another level and began writting song lyrics. Continuing to work on music, Shango decided to go to college in Florida. After several months of working he realized he didn’t feel fullfilled enough and quit his job. The very next week Shango took a courageous leap : he pointed randomly a city on a map, packed his bags and booked a one way ticket to the picked destination: Shanghai, China where the real journey began ! In China, he met people who fell in love with his music, he began booking shows and performing in front of live crowds. From there he toured and created music overseas. Next, he moved to Europe and enriched his development there as well . Shango ultimately decided he needed to return to New York City where it all began. Now back in NYC, his roots with his upcoming debut album : The Experiment..
