Winston Paddy “I am music and music is me.” Those are the words of Winston Paddy. Music has always been a part of his life. Winston Paddy is a reggae artist but loves to sing all genres of music. He sings with eight octaves and has mastered them all. Born in Kingston Jamaica, Winston was influenced by music from other artists from both inland and abroad giving him the love of all music. At the young age of eleven Winston sang for a crowd for the first time. There he amazed them with his falsetto. That was when the elders in the business such as Derek Barnet from Sagittarius band, WeePow from Stone Love and Father Romey from Exodus Nuclear began to work with Winston to expose him to the rest of the world. Winston began to tour outside of Jamaica in the late 1980’s. He toured Canada with other artists such as Ninja Man, Johnny Osborn, Crystal and Blacka Ranks. After returning to Jamaica Winston decided he wanted to further his career in Canada and went to live there in 1990. Winston’s first self-produced single was a rendition of Ray, Goodman and Brown’s song Inside of You. This single was well taken by the music industry. He began to produce other songs throughout the years and also produced his own videos. Songs such as Thin Line, Unity, Suffering and URD1 are a few of the songs on his first album titled Unity. Winston continues to produce music with new singles such as Money Money, Bless You, Inside of You and many more. Winston is an artist to keep your eyes on.
