Rebecca Dawn debuted in Canada in 2014, after returning home from life as an international student, with the album M.aking C.onnections. Stand-out song from this project is Purple Sunset, which has vocals and production by Tarik Robinson. The lyrics talk about the indomitable spirit of life in the city and flow over a smooth Hip Hop beat. Afterglow features a heartwarming indie melody over acoustic guitar. Other 2022 releases from Rebecca Dawn include Reprogram, Aurora Nova, Machine, and Stars. In 2020 the artist veered into Trip Hop with the psychedelic dance album Cosmic Cantina Deluxe Edition by Dawnzen.
