River Atley is a singer/songwriter based in London his acoustic pop songs are inspired by contemporary R&B and Soul. River has been featured on various different tracks that have been released through labels such as Sony Norway, Warner Music Germany, BMG, Universal and Lilly Era. Others have reached great success independently as well. Since the release of his debut single in 2020 Atley has been gaining rapid growth in fans and listeners from all over the world who connect with his distinct melodies and authentic songwriting. Now River Atley is releasing a brand new single on May 19th. The song talks about the hardship of having to come to the decision of calling it, when a relationship isn’t going the right way. “‘at least we tried’ talks about a relationship I was in, where we had so much love for each other that we decided to be friends upon breaking up. Unfortunately, however, our lives and needs became so different and relationships can’t and shouldn’t be forced or they quickly turn sour. Just because we are used to having a special person in our lives doesn’t always mean that it is the healthiest solution to take them with us in our new chapters.”
