“Inspiration is the result of a combination of life and musical experience, and there is a moment when you need to take that step forward” says Pablo “Slocum” Amann, founder, composer and frontman of AMANN & THE WAYWARD SONS. A Bilbao (Basque Country, Spain) based rock band, founded in 2016. After a number of years collecting and arranging his songs, a first self-released album entitled “FREE SOUL” is delivered in February 2018, produced by Amando Gottardi and Emiliano Barés and mixed and mastered in Abbey Road (UK). In December 2018, after concluding the FREE SOUL tour, all around Spain, that even took them to play at the BBK MUSIC LEGENDS FESTIVAL, among such artists as Ben Harper And The Innocent Criminals, Suzanne Vega, The Beach Boys, Little Steven, Watermelon Slim among others, the entire band shut themselves in TIO PETE STUDIO and recorded DRIVE HOME, produced by Emi Bares and released in Sep 2019. The harsh reality caused by the Covid 19 pandemic, forced the cancellation of all the concerts scheduled, and brought a halt to the band's meteoric career. But Pablo has devoted this time to writing new music, with single “Feel it in my Bones” releasing a vinyl Deluxe edition of the double album ¨LIVE IN BILBAO¨ with single ¨I´ve been waiting¨ featuring the great singer La Negra Mayté. The new single ¨Under Pouring Rain¨ will be out on 1/1/21. The music of AMANN & THE WAYWARD SONS, is a modern blend of southern, blues, soul, country and roots rock. Carry on Wayward Sons!
