火燒島是全台語創作的台灣重金屬樂團，2013年推出首張專輯《若是有一蕊號作正義的花》入圍金音創作獎最佳新人團及最佳樂團獎，2016年第二張專輯《妖魔鬼島大作戰》入圍金音創作獎最佳搖滾專輯獎；2017年獲得貢寮海洋音樂祭首獎海洋大賞。積極參與台灣各知名音樂祭，包含野台開唱、大港開唱等，並曾與美國重金屬樂團Havok一同在台北、北京、香港巡迴演出，2018年受邀至菲律賓重金屬音樂節PULP SUMMER SLAM演出。 Burning Island's music is rooted on aggressive and extreme riffs, with groove metal elements in the drums. On top of that, we incorporate powerful and psychotic screams and melodic solos. What separates us from all other groups is our fondness in dramatic and obnoxious presentations in our music and on stage. Like beefed up Energizer Bunnies if you will.Our lyrics include massive banks of metaphor and fictional elements to ridicule the politics in Taiwan. But in all seriousness, we are trying to convey our beliefs and important messages. Going against and defeating the oppressor as an oppressed is a constantly recurring theme that we are exploring in our lyrics.
