Hailing from Chilliwack, BC, Canada | Energetic, fast paced, and prog-infused metal; Medevil captures the essence of what makes the classic 80s heavy metal acts great, and throws it on its head injecting interesting twists into their riffing. In the summer of 2015 they competed in the Wacken Metal Battle Canada placing as one of the National Finalists, turning many heads towards this young group. Being known for their “power-thrash” approach since the release of their debut album, they have since adopted an experimental writing style with a progressive touch. Their main influence has been an amalgamation of many different styles, such as Meshuggah, Tool, Metal Church, Opeth, and Megadeth. With these stylistics they hope to craft music that is not only head-bang worthy, but also adds a unique spin to the metal genre.
