Hector Roots Lewis (also known as Roots Percussionist) is a vocalist, percussionist, and from Jamaica. Background vocalist and percussionist for reggae superstar Chronixx in his ZincFence Redemption backing band, Lewis is a two-time Grammy nominated musician. 
 Since 2016, Lewis with Chronixx and ZincFence Redemption have headlined tours and festival across the world, performing in Africa, Asia, Australia Europe, North America and South America. During that time, the award-winning band also appeared at numerous major festivals across the globe, including notably the Coachella in the US. 
 Lewis is the first artist other than Chronixx to sign to Chronixx's Soul Circle Music label, with his debut project on its way. Produced by Lewis and J.L.L. (Drake, Sevana, Jaz Elise, Royal Blu), the first single "Ups & Downs" is set to release October 8 via Cre8ive Tribe (distributed by Ineffable Records).
