Биография
Adan "Chalino" Sanchez was born in Torrance, CA, on April 14, 1984. He was the son of famous corridista singer Chalino Sanchez, who was killed when the younger Sanchez was eight years old. His father's kidnapping and murder made a stir in the regional Mexican music genre, attracting huge media attention. His father's popularity skyrocketed after his death in 1992, giving way to a long series of compilation records, postmortem releases, and dedications. Adan began walking in his lost father's footsteps at a very early age, recording his first full-length album in 1995, entitled Dios Me Nego (God Denies Me). Being brought up in California, Adan gained a strong following in the U.S. The majority of his album titles revolved around the loss of his father, a pain that he shared with an immense and sympathetic audience. Such titles include La Corona de Mi Padre (The Crown of My Father), Te Vengo a Ver (I'm Going to See You), and Homenaje a Mi Padre (Homage to My Father). Adan's popularity was on the rise, though not entirely separate from his father's celebrity. Adan Sanchez met an untimely end himself, in the same Mexican state in which his father died. En route to a concert in Tuxpan, the car carrying the singer and friends flipped, throwing Sanchez from the car, killing him at the scene. More than 10,000 fans filled the streets outside the Los Angeles church where his funeral mass was held. The recording industry continues to honor him with collections of his work and records dedicated to his memory. ~ Evan C. Gutierrez, Rovi
