Pulling from her experiences growing up in Jamaica, Yabba uses her narrative skills and sterling lyricism to draw attention to injustice; her unique, almost child-like perspective encompasses the significance of pain, trauma, death and cycles of injustice that plagued (and still plague) her community. Harnessing her past experiences, she is able to create a scene for listeners in which the story unfolds. Through a fusion of Hip-hop, Reggae and R&B, Yabba enthralls an unsuspecting audience and keeps them at the edge of their seats. Upon accomplishing her goals with music, Yabba plans to continue educating, healing and giving back to the community that raised her.
