Norwegian country singer Heidi Hauge is known for being true to the old classic country music she listened to as a kid and many of her favorite artists such as Loretta Lynn, Tanya Tucker, Dwight Yoakam, and Don Williams among others have later been covered by Heidi Hauge. Like many other great country artists, Heidi Hauge has a voice that stands out from the crowd, it is quite unique and fits like a glove with classic country music. From 2000 until 2005, Heidi Hauge sold more than 1 million albums in Scandinavia, no other Scandinavian artist has sold so much in this genre either before or since. That was probably the reason the media often referred to Heidi as Scandinavia's country queen. Heidi Hauge began her career in the late '90s by singing with her husband, Bjørn Arild Hauge. Although music was initially just a hobby for her, she ended up becoming the top-selling country artist in Scandinavia with a number of gold and platinum records in addition to receiving several prestigious awards. Heidi quickly became a major concert attraction in Scandinavia, Poland, and Germany. Heidi Hauge is also the only Norwegian country artist who has entered the bestseller charts in Norway, Denmark, and Sweden. Heidi's latest album "Country Classics" is filled with classic country songs and a couple of new original songs.
