“Raw, poisonous, intravenous and visceral! So is the sound of extreme guitar player José Fernando Cortés, showing influences from AC / DC to ZZ Top, to Jimmy Hendrix. Bands like Cream and The Beatles have influenced the compositions and productions of this Colombian musician, who has managed to mix from electronic music to the Colombian folklore with Rock’n roll”. Born in Bogota (Colombia). Guitarist since he was 7 years old, has performed as a professional Musician, composer and producer, for more than 25 years now. With his guitar, Jose has performed on stage more than 3000 concerts, not only in Colombia and throughout Latin America, but also toured Europe, USA and Asia. Some of his live performances include 14 versions of Festival Rock al Parque in Bogota and Festival Pepsi Music, Buenos Aires-Argentina. Alongside Andrés Cabas, he played at Madison Square Garden NY, sharing the stage with Juanes; Plaza de Las Ventas (Madrid) opening for Miguel Bosé; Azteca Stadium in Mexico City opening for Lenny Kravitz. He has also played in the band of Mikel Erecson of Duncan Duh, David Summers and Stu Hamm (bass player for Joe Satriani). Audiences have enjoyed his sound in cities like Tokyo, Paris, Los Angeles, Chicago, New Orleans and more. After releasing two albums under his name, nowadays he works on new material for his third solo project. He keeps on exploring fresh sounds to incorporate into his music, in order to always connect with audiences and deliver good live shows.
