Rossana is 24-year-old Portuguese composer and interpreter Inês Barroso. Moving to London in 2018, Rossana started releasing music shortly before the pandemic hit, having released her debut jazz EP “Rossana’s Little Box of Feelings” during 2020. Inspired by an isolation period in the south coast of Portugal, Rossana returned to 
creating music with entire new inspirations. “Ao Deus Dará”, an EP comprised of 6 original arrangements of traditional Portuguese music. This work brought Rossana to a wider audience being named as “…without any doubt one of the most promising names in Portuguese music” by Espalha Factos and leading to multiple shows across Portugal and in several London venues.

 Now, back under London's cloudy skies, Rossana presents The Entertainer, her debut LP that will bring us a collection of the artist's work throughout the past year - a collection of nine contrasting songs that encompass both the jazz and classical influences from previous projects and links them to new glimpses of psychedelia and wonder, culminating in a noir, hypnotic soundscape matched with sincere songwriting. The main subject of The Entertainer relies on dissecting the love triangle that is the artist, the work and the audience. The need to be heard against the righteousness of needing so. With only one song in her mother tongue and eight songs in English, The Entertainer is a comprehensive work that reflects the artist’s multitude of influences and experiences in one cohesive piece.
