Биография

Iván Jaque is a Mexican producer with Chilean roots. Since 2021 and the release of his solo project “Tunkuy” he lives in Germany, where he creates and promotes his music. He is currently preparing his next record material, under the Afro music label, Matanga Records. Through his music Tunkuy shows us different landscapes, latitudes and contexts. Also 15 years of career where he has developed a particular taste between the organic and versatile of Dub, added to the possibilities of the world of electronics, focusing on danceable vibes, Caribbean rhythms and the mixture of what results from it. His first album “Pulmari” covers rudimentary landscapes in remote communities, the ceremonial syncretism of cultures based on their pilgrimages, forgotten pristine places at the end of the world and magical forests with unique beings. Also long journeys through the fjords of Patagonia, passing through the Mayan jungle and pilgrimages in Wirikuta.
