Santa Fe, New Mexico alt-psych band Motopony drops their latest single, Valley of Witches, the third single from Motopony’s forthcoming conceptual book and album The Unman, Part 1: Shepherd's Purse, inviting their listeners onto a musical journey paired with the story of a reluctant messiah, falling into love and destiny in a post-apocalyptic America. Romance, robots, time-travel and spiritual revelation mingle in this epic vision of the last days of earth.   Through the prisms of Pink Floyd and George Lucas, Motopony’s upcoming album comes paired with a fantastical yet seemingly prophetic novel, as creator, Daniel Blue explains: "Bizarrely, an entity from times not yet upon us, led me to create ‘The Unman,’ a 36 song collection with a companion novel. The protagonist in this near future tale, Theodore, is also grappling with an exploration of the world bereft of his parents. I was inspired to create a soundtrack for Theodore's journey because it seemed to so closely mirror my own.  Each track within the album coincides with a chapter of the book. There's so much to explore in this rich pairing - it shatters us out of our normal mode of thought, cross-pollinating conflicting ideologies within the music and book. My wish for you is that Theodore's story brings as much inspiration, healing and hope as it has for me." The music and audiobook for The Unman, Part 1: Shepherd’s Purse, the first of four installments, will be released worldwide on April 17, 2020.
