When David Adams met Benjamin King at an open mic night at Berklee College of Music, neither one of them knew what was to come. Introduced through mutual friends, their individual talents were immediately visible to one another. Soon after this first encounter, David and Benjamin began their musical collaboration - realizing quickly their unique influences distinctly complemented each other. Together David and Benjamin have formed “Sleepaway Camp,” a collaborative project that is truly a one of a kind. Their textured and atmospheric production draws its inspiration from the complexities and struggles of interpersonal relationships - of which there is no shortage. Recording everything out of a small bedroom, you can feel the raw intimacy in every Sleepaway Camp song they produce while drawing listeners in on a journey of nostalgic self reflection.
