Биография
The Big Pink released its 4AD debut album, A BRIEF HISTORY OF LOVE, in 2009 and shot to international mainstream success with the multi-platinum selling single “Dominos”. The band was short-listed for a Mercury Award, won the prestigious Philip Hall Radar Award for Best New Act, and won NME’s Shockwave Award for Best New Track. The second 4AD album, FUTURE THIS, produced by Paul Epworth and mixed by Alan Moulder, was released in 2012. The band toured the world playing with TV On The Radio, Glasvegas, Wolf Alice, & Muse, among others, enjoyed unforgettable slots at Coachella, Reading, Glastonbury, Leeds, and Isle of Wight. After a nearly ten year hiatus, Robbie Furze recently reformed the group with original drummer Akiko Matsuura, added bassist Charlie Barker, and released The Big Pink’s third full length album, THE LOVE THAT'S OURS, on 30th September 2022. The new album features collaborations with Jamie T, Jamie Hince from The Kills, Ryn Weaver, Mark Stoney, Peter Stengaard, and Ed Harcourt, among others, and is produced by 7-time Grammy nominated producer/engineer Tony Hoffer (Beck, Depeche Mode, Air, The Kooks.) We think this album is our best work yet! Thank you so much for being here and taking the time to listen. We are out on the road in 2023 and look forward to meeting you in person. -Robbie, Akiko, & Charlie
