Justin Johnson is widely recognized as a pre-eminent blues guitarist of our time. With a cult following numbering in the millions, Johnson has firmly established himself as one of the most vital guitarists of our time. Johnson has released 11 albums. His original "Midnight at the Crossroads," was licensed to Florentine Films for Ken Burns' documentary film "Jackie Robinson." His recording of "In the Pines" was licensed for the "Dodge Brothers" national ad campaign, and his recording of "Grinnin in Your Face" is featured on NPR Back Porch Music's "Best of Back Porch Music Vol. 18: Old Enough to Know Better". Johnson's original music has also been licensed to a host of v networks, such as The Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, & PBS. Justin Johnson co-wrote/co-produced/performed the award-winning score for John Carter Cash's film "Dragon Song." The two collabed again with Robin Zander (Cheap Trick) when they co-wrote/produced "Heart Made of Steel" for Netflix film "The Ice Road." Johnson also acted as guitarist/co-producer on the Johnny Cash "Forever Words" album. Justin joined funk legend Bootsy Collins, as co-producer/co-writer/guitarist for Collins' "World Wide Funk" album, & again on the song "Rollin'" from Johnson's Drivin it Down album.
