In an industry oversaturated with easily pigeonholed artists, it is strikingly clear upon first listen that LITEYEARS has set out on a different path. By not conforming to the prescribed set of expectations associated with the pop genre, the band has managed to achieve what so many artists struggle to do: bridging the gap between accessibility and artistic integrity. LITEYEARS’ debut EP American Towns was released on August 12, 2016 and features the band’s flagship single “Rhythm In The Stars”, which received substantial commercial airplay. In conjunction with the EP, the band released a five-part video series entitled “The Zoetic Sessions”, which was filmed at the iconic Zoetic Theatre in Hamilton. The video series quickly caught the attention of industry mogul Scott Borchetta (Big Machine Label Group), who famously discovered pop sensation Taylor Swift, and led the band to being cast on the debut season of CTV's The Launch. Selected from a pool of 10,000 applicants across Canada, LITEYEARS features on the series' second episode in which they receive mentorship from a celebrity panel comprised of Ryan Tedder (OneRepublic) and Jennifer Nettles (Sugarland). The exposure generated from The Launch has propelled the band to the national stage, gaining a surplus of new fans as well as media support from Canada's leading entertainment outlets. Ultimately, this momentum landed the band a string of arena dates across Canada, which included some of the country's largest venues. <br>
