    Ish1da was born and raised in the Northeast neighborhood of Kansas City, MO. A notorious neighborhood known long ago for mob ties and more recently for rampant gang violence and even more recently for disgusting gentrification. A long time fan of japanese culture, including but not limited to Anime, JRPG’s and Tokugawa era history, Ish1da was far from the normal resident of his side of town. He wrote his first rap in 1996 but didn’t take it up as a serious outlet until 2006 when he formed the group, Sangreal Nation, with fellow KC emcee, The Epitome. Although he has always used nerdy references, it was in 2014 that Ish turned his focus in music to Nerdcore. Ish1da found a quick internet following after embracing the Nerdcore scene with his single, Senpai which has been featured on numerous blogs and streamed 1 million times on Spotify, not to mention traffic on YouTube, facebook and Soundcloud. In 2016 he formed Nakama Music Group with longtime music group mate, The Epitome. Too nerd for the streets and too street for the nerds, Ish1da is an anomaly in the music game that is not to be underestimated.
