Iyulskie Dni (July Days) — is a music band from the very heart of Russia — the city of Nizhny Novgorod. Iyulskie Dni play post-punk, and in this term the emphasis should be placed on the word "punk". Having appeared at the dawn of the mass post-punk fashion in Russia, the guys kept their own style from the very first days and continue to do so to this day. If to talk about music, then Iyulskie Dni play the Soviet post-punk school. In their work, the motives of both Kino with Nesterov's Petlya (Loop) and Alliance with Televizor (TV) are clearly heard. Iyulskie Dni is such a romantic post-punk with sad eyes and a Strugatsky’s book in the inner pocket of a coat. At the moment, there are 5 albums in the band's discography, the sixth is on its way. By the way, the name "July Days" is not accidental. The famous psychiatric hospital is located on the street of the same name in Nizhny Novgorod. And the expression "you should be on July Days" has long been firmly established in Nizhny Novgorod usage. The reference to the name is also hinted at by existential lyrics, which are trying to find an answer to the age-old question — "What for and why?". But we know that this is a rhetorical question.
