Pop singer/songwriter AJ Mitchell was discovered via social media, where his soulful covers of popular songs earned him over a million followers. Born in Belleville, Illinois, AJ started playing piano at the age of four, inspired by his pianist father. He would write his first song at the age of six. By high school, he was a member of both the track team and the choir, honing his skills by performing at local coffee shops and bars.
