FAKE TYPE. is a duo that consists of TOP HAMHATKYO (rapper) and DYES IWASAKI (beat maker). With dance music at the core, their music is pop and crazy. Their motto is to make music that is melodious and tricky. If a self-proclaimed faker creates something, is it still fake? If there is a will to be as authentic as they can be, does that make them more authentic than anyone out there? They question their listeners through their music. From 2017, they were on hiatus for 3 years but made their comeback in 2020. “Princess♂” is one of their biggest hits to date and its music video on YouTube has more than 27.5 million views, and its sequel “Mister Jewel Box” has over 23 million views to date. Their fans around the world are streaming their music. They are also known for writing songs for other artists including “Fleeting Lullaby” by Uta (Ado) (from “Uta’s Songs: One Piece Film Red”), “OH MY BUDDY” by Hey! Say!
