Биография

Fred Engay is an Independent Bicolano singer songwriter who is known for writing songs that are introspective, heartfelt and authentic. He is known as an advocate for self improvement and founder of Sisophi or Singer Songwriter Philippines which builds a safe community for aspiring singer songwriters in the Philippines.  Fred started his career as a finalist of ASOP Songwriting contest and eventually released his own songs on Spotify. Despite being new and independent, in 2019 his song "Fire" made noise by charting at #43 on Philippines Viral 50 on Spotify. In 2020, Fred  started releasing bicol songs and was able to catapult them in the New Music Friday Philippines encouraging other Bicolano artists to do the same. In 2022, Fred listeners peaked to approx. 450K monthly and amassed more than 2 million listeners and 24 million streams. Nine of his songs also charted at Philippine local pulse peaking at #16 on spotify which made him one of the most sought after indie act in the platform. In 2023, Fred intends to start being active in the live circuit and promote his original songs in the live events.
