At night when all was still, it called, With promises of unknown lands. I heard a tune and was enthralled, By words no human mind withstands. Through the night to darker skies. Out in the vast and unknowable nothingness, Under the gleam of unknown constellations, Rules of reality wielded no power and Bodiless worshippers sang adorations. Then as the vista was opened before me, I stood in awe of his sickly creations. And then I saw it all commence, An orrery of thrashing forms, A scene of worship without sense, Like furious and living storms. At night when all was still, it called, From dreams of blood and unknown lands. I heard a tune and was enthralled, By words no human understands. Dread filled my mind to its brim as he conjured those Horrors to life with his versification. I was a mortal, unraveling witness to Mystical rites of a grand coronation. For I have seen how all will end. An unknown moon shed ashen light Upon the vision I was shown. I crumbled at the monstrous sight And wished it had remained unknown. When nightmares wake and they have crossed In endless numbers to extend His kingdom here, then we are lost. I fear the things my dreams portend.
