Биография
Lou Tavano is a French singer-songwriter based in Paris. She is a French Jazz Awards 2020 nominee for Best Vocal Artist. Her mother a writer and her father a rock drummer, Lou Tavano starts playing classical piano at five, singing at ten, and by the age of fifteen she’s into stage acting. After studying at the American School of Modern Music in Paris, she starts storming the Paris jazz scene, and catches the attention of Siggi Loch who signed her right away on the leading european label ACT. She released her debut album For You in March 2016. Her second album Uncertain Weather was released in January 2020. Here is what ACT’s founder and artistic director says about her : "France’s new singing hope: Vocal jazz with edge, depth and that certain je ne sais quoi. Lou Tavano is the new vocal-jazz sensation in a Paris scene already filled with inspiring names. Her extraordinary talent soon became obvious: the ability to create a musical universe in which words carry just as much weight as notes." „A revelation!“ Morgenpost Sachsen „A true gem. For You confirms Lou Tavano’s flaming talent and originality.” Rolling Stone Magazine „A splendid album.” France Inter „One feels reminded of the narrative art of Joni Mitchell, of her serious and yet chatty tone, which, with great self confidence outlines stories. A very mature album.” Jazz thing „Originality. Talent. Poetry.” RTL „A stunning charisma. One of the most interesting voices to hit the scene in the past years.” RFI
