Биография
New album “Cult Hypnotica” out 7/1/22!! Hailing from Albany, NY, the prog punk electro-metal outfit known as The Clay People originally formed in 1989. Although many different members have passed through their ranks throughout the years, two constant members have been vocalist Dan Neet and guitarist Brian McGarvey. Over the course of six albums and 2 EP's, the band has evolved from a sequencer-based band to a more conventionally rock-based one, but without sacrificing any of their heavy, aggressive techno sound. In '97 a lineup that consisted of Neet and McGarvey along with drummer Dan Dinsmore, second guitarist Mike Guzzardi, and bassist Dan Walsh, the group signed to Slipdisc Records, an affiliate of Mercury. 1998 saw the release of their self-titled album, which was produced by Neil Kernon (who has worked in the past with the likes of David Bowie and Queensryche). The song "Awake" was included on soundtracks for "Universal Soldier: The Return", and Dee Snider's "Strangeland", alongside Megadeth, Pantera, Anthrax, and Marilyn Manson. The 5 song "Headhunter Demos" followed in 2000. Neet, McGarvey and Dinsmore released "Waking The Dead" in 2007 and "Demon Hero..." in 2018 featuring bassist Chris Wyse (The Hollywood Vampires, The Cult, Ace Frehley) on the songs "genRx and "Strange Day".
