Биография

Cuileann is a 15-year-old songwriter, with his biggest influences being Heavy Metal, Nu Metal, Phonk, Lo-Fi, Jazz, Latin, and Japanese Funk. After making his appearance on SoundCloud in early 2020, he experimented with many genres, including Lo-Fi, Boom Bap, Jazz, Rock, and RnB. Over one short year due to COVID-19, he quickly discovered Phonk music, and, nearly immediately, followed his discovery of Drift Phonk. His first release of Phonk was his album “PHONK YOU LOL,” which was often characterized by heavy bass and cowbell melodies. His song “DRIFTCORE,” was his first taste in success within the Phonk scene, garnering thousands of streams within months. After experimenting with a new subgenre of Drift Phonk known as Phonk House, he released a 10-track album named “GETTING A CALL ON THE HOUSE PHONK,” which all featured the signature cowbell melodies with similar rhythms of House music. Shortly after this, he released his most popular song to date, “DECIMATION,” a fast-paced Phonk House song, most recognizable through the syncopation of the low cowbell which compliments the high cowbells simple quarter note melody and overall creates a bouncy feel in the melody, which is nearly opposite to the House beat and heavy riding bass playing under it all. In essence, Cuileann brings a unique perspective of musical background and music theory knowledge to the Phonk genre and does not plan on stopping making music for the foreseeable future.
