JKLRD is a Cagayan De Oro Rap Artist who is under the collective 9K Records also known as Jack Daniel De La Peña by his closer friends. He has been in the CDO music scene for almost 3 years now. He closely works with music producer Neuvmbr and was chosen to work on a track for their first Warner Music Philippines release through the Beat This Philippines compilation album called Beat This Boutique 2020 which gained him recognition in the VISMIN music scene. What also made him a staple in it was when he did a collaboration song with Soulthrll and Cookie$ just this year on the track “Tilaw Ra” which had 1M streams on Spotify and almost 8M views on YouTube. In 2019, JKLRD released “Hulog Piso” which had a spot on Cagayan De Oro Radio Station MOR’s Top 10 Charts while it is also enjoying 100K+ streams on Spotify and 300K+ views on YouTube. JKLRD is highly known for his Bisaya-English combo smooth rap style which can be heard in almost all of his 4 singles out and 8 collaboration piece which you can find in all streaming platforms. With different types of influences including rap acts like Lil Wayne, Bugoy Na Koykoy and No Pets Allowed while also into rock outfits like Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park and Blink 182, JKLRD believes that his music is incomparable and to be outstanding at what he does, he has to be true to himself when it comes to making music.
