Биография
Kero One is a Korean-Californian rapper, producer, and DJ known for resurrecting the jazz hiphop sound with live instruments and samples. After self releasing his first vinyl “Check the Blueprints” in 2003, he quickly gained fame in Japan, touring the nation and selling over 75k copies of his various albums and singles there. Five solo albums and many tours later, Kero continued ignoring the trends around him and eventually crafted a following amongst fans of mellow and jazzy beats all over the world, a genre known to many today as Lofi or jazz hiphop. Though respected in the underground, Kero broke barriers with airplay on BBC 1, appearing on the front page of Myspace, Forbes Magazine features, and attracting the attention of some of music’s biggest legends including co-signs from Stevie Wonder, Will.I.Am, and some of the biggest Kpop artists in Korea. Inspired to reconnect with his motherland, Kero cemented his jazzy sound by producing for rapper Park Kyung of K-pop super group Block B, where their track "Ordinary Love" became the #1 song in Korea. It was through this experience as a producer Kero realized his new mission; to remain true to his style as an independent solo artist while also producing for vocalists worldwide. In 2019, Kero headlined the very first jazz hop and lofi beats tour in the world hitting major cities in America, Asia with plans for Europe until it was shutdown due to a global pandemic.
