Биография
Mike Suh sings and writes songs in the Boston-based rock band Cosmic Johnny. They are nearsighted (left eye slightly more so), and wear a size 12 shoe, or 11.5, or 13, depending on the brand. They firmly believe that anything can be a cowboy hat. There are a few other people in Cosmic Johnny, such as Felicity Squish (bass, vocals), Marcus Dembinski (drums), Cammie Davis (guitar), Will Kwiatkowski (whatever he happens to be doing) and Keithe LaFlabme (moral support). Keithe is a plastic monitor lizard gifted to Mike by their friend Nathan. Thanks Nate. Armed with sharp humor, memorable hooks, and pedals that make Mike sound like a better guitarist, Cosmic Johnny mostly write fun songs about not-as-fun subjects, like depression, trauma, skeletons, anxiety, trans ennui, the Berensta(e)in Rift, and wondering whether all the time you're spending on your phone before bed is worth the toll it's inevitably going to take on your eyesight (probably not). Sometimes the songs also aren't fun, and nobody wins. Coming up in the Boston DIY scene alongside peers and influences such as Sidney Gish, Bat House, Metallica & Prior Panic, Cosmic Johnny are proving themselves beyond a sliver of a doubt to be perhaps the most promising new band whose set you kind of hear through the wall while you try to convince the person outside in a beanie and a Glue shirt to let you bum an American Spirit. You think they sounded pretty good though.
