Биография
UK pop quartet formed in the mid-80s by Nathan Moore (b. 10 January 1965, Stamford Hill, London, England; vocals), Carl Fysh (b. 25 January 1963, England; keyboards), David White (guitar) and Steve Alexander (drums). Brother Beyond teamed up with producers/songwriters Stock, Aitken And Waterman and launched their music career in 1987 with the minor UK hits, ‘How Many Times’ and ‘Chain-Gang Smile’. They broke through the following year when ‘The Harder I Try’ and ‘He Ain’t No Competition’ reached number 2 and 6 respectively. The twee ‘Be My Twin’ stalled outside the UK Top 10 in January 1989, and from then on the quartet enjoyed diminishing returns. Their final UK hit, 1991’s ‘The Girl I Used To Know’, barely made it into the Top 50. Surprisingly, the track had made the US Top 30 the year before, but by this point Stock, Aitken And Waterman had effectively pulled the plug on the band. Moore returned to the UK Top 20 in the mid-90s with the band Worlds Apart before moving into artist management. He made a brief attempt at launching a solo career in 2002, performing a duet with 80s pop star Kim Wilde on ‘If There Was Love’.
