The Bay Area’s music scene has been Marika Christine’s musical playground for almost a decade. She is a multi-instrumentalist in several bands including Secret Secret and began to develop her solo project with her first release Puzzle World in March 2021. The EP was re-released on tape with Ghost Mountain Records the following year. 
 Drawing on personal life experiences, Christine’s music is inspired by the power of tenderness and vulnerability. Her newer music explores a theatrical atmosphere to help process the depth of heartbreak, loss, longing, friendship, and love. Lush sonic landscapes and visual lyrics are born from the desire to embrace change, find independence, and cherish the highs and lows that come with just being a person. 
 Christine’s songwriting style is influenced by a variety of artists crossing genres and time periods such as Harry Nilson, Stereolab, Cate Le Bon, and Alice Phoebe Lou. Her full-length LP, Soft Like an Apricot, is ready to be embraced on May 26, 2023. 
 Her band is made up of Maria Donjacour (Medscool) on bass and vocals, Adam Wilson on keys and synthesizers, Fabrizio Incerti on drums, and Janis Stuurman on the trumpet.
