Биография
Fusing soft, introspective lyricism with effervescent, ear-worm riffage, South-West London based trio Slaney Bay have already cemented their place within the alt-indie landscape. The band consists of three childhood friends; Cait Whitley (vocals) Joel Martin (bass) & Will Nicola-Thompson (guitar). Fresh from a manic few months on the live circuit, including widely-acclaimed slots at The Great Escape and Dot To Dot, the band recently announced their forthcoming sophomore EP ‘Why Does Love Mean Loss?’ (due September) and shared the latest single ‘EST’. The bands gripping and unbridled energy is showcased throughout the track, marking the follow-up to cathartic first EP reveal ‘Move On’ and building on significant early press support (Billboard, The Independent, Dork, The Line Of Best Fit, Under The Radar) and several BBC Radio 1 (Jack Saunders) and BBC 6 Music (Steve Lamacq) spins. Hotly tipped by likes of Dork (Hype List 2023) and Under The Radar (23 for 2023), the indie newcomers’ made quite the early impression on the release of their debut EP ‘A Life Worth Living’ (Nov 2022), a coming-of-age diary in which they explore the hardships of growing up. Already making a name for themselves on the live circuit with notable support slots for Sinead O’Brien, Bleach Lab and Coach Party, the band are now gearing up for a busy 2023 with lots of new music and festivals. “This band have got bangers!” (Jack Saunders, BBC Radio1).
