Formed in late 2020, Hastings based Britpunk band, Murderers Are Optimists, released three singles in 2021 all receiving multiple plays on bbc introducing. With a simplistic rock style and an anti-authoritarian undertone, the band create a rough and ready sound which is blissfully melodic. Together singer and guitarist, Paul Sunshine, bassist, Jo Gonzo and drummer, Peter Thomas create an overall vibe of the whole 90’s lad-rock culture, just a bit heavier and faster. You may have heard it all before, but perhaps not quite like this...
