Биография
The Roanoke, Virginia-based Eternal Summers, a self-professed "dream punk" outfit, formed in the late 2000s around the talents of guitarist/vocalist Nicole Yun and drummer Daniel Cundiff, both of whom are members of the Magic Twig Community (a local art and indie pop organization/collective). Specializing in taut, hook-filled post-rock/no wave-inspired pop nuggets that alternate between dreamy and cacophonous, the duo released a self-titled EP in 2009, followed by Eternal Summers' full-length Kanine Records debut, Silver, in 2010. While touring behind the record, Yun's guitar was stolen and she found that the replacement she had on hand didn't fill in the low end of their sound the way they wanted. To remedy this, they added an old friend, Jonathan Woods, to play bass. The trio spent two weeks recording the next Eternal Summers album, shipping the results off to Sune Rose Wagner (of the Raveonettes) and Alonzo Vargas to be mixed. Correct Behavior was released by Kanine in July of 2012. The trio's next album was recorded with production (and occasional guitar) from indie rock Zelig Doug Gillard. Released in early 2014, The Drop Beneath marked another impressive step in the band's artistic growth. The group's self-produced fourth album, Gold and Stone, followed in 2015. ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi
