Hikes is nature-inspired experimental rock anchored by the technical, emotive songwriting of Nay Mapalo ( Adobo ) Their newest split with Into It. Over It. ; Reciprocity features songs written over the course of a month living in a studio. From the bombastic, drum heavy Crown Shyness , the Pop Punk adjacent Better , to the crashing wave that is Sana All , the split showcases Hikes’ songwriting depth. Selling out over a dozen cities on their recent tour with Covet, Hikes is preparing a new record, world tours, and so much more. 
 Their album Mahal Kita follows the spectrum of hardships throughout the two years leading up to it and follows suit dynamically: from the ethereal pop opener of the album been thinkin' , reintroducing member Claire Puckett ( Mother Falcon ), to the technical extra mile (feat. The Kraken Quartet) 
 Lilt, the group’s previous album recorded in Tokyo with Takaaki Mino ( of toe ) , offers a wealth of interwoven guitar work, dense lyricism, and a pulsing rhythm section. Recounting Wilkins nearly losing their dad, losing touch with nature, memories of a missing best friend, and everything in between, Lilt is experimental indie rock bursting with a humbled hopefulness.
