Биография

The 'Shady Monk' project began early 2013. Hailing from the suburbs of Philadelphia PA, Shady Monk crafts a wide range of different electronic music, often focusing heavily on elements of jazz fusion and retro video game/chiptune aesthetic, as well as more cinematic and orchestral based pieces, all while blending any number of genres like house/techno, hip hop, soul/rnb, downtempo, ambient, experimental and much more. He's recently begun a secondary major alias under the name Shay., with a more Pop/Alternative/Club oriented approach, and started producing for such rising pop acts as Elphi, Vamsi, & VЯAHIMI in mid 2020. Other notable side projects include: Tremophon, Minimonk, Dreamland Circus (a collaboration with Vagrant), Fire Is A Time Machine, Sunnybrook Road (a collaboration with brother Eric Jon), & Vapordave. Some pre-Shady Monk era (2008-2013) projects have gradually begun to spring up on streaming services, including: ORIGINS (released in 2010 under 'FLUX ∆', Shady Monk's first ever producer alias.
