Dr. Arthur Krause was born in a café late 1999 in Gothenburg (the man behind this name was born much earlier), with members of the band Pet Sematary, made some gigs and three self-produced demo CD’s: Maladjusted Abortion EP (2001), After Countless Troubles (2001) and Tribulations and Rare Flowers (2002). In late 2003 Dr. Arthur Krause signed to the M&A Music Art. The debut album Before and After from 2004 was made with use of synthesizers, samplers, guitars and a drum machine. Peter Hageus joined and played his first gig along a paperback doll on keyboards, to fill out the stage. To give the live shows a feeling of a full band new members were added, Fredrik Thell joined on guitars and André Robsahm on bass. In June 2005 they headlined the 99festival. The second album When Love Is Dead, in 2007, involved the full band in the production. The songs are about separations at different levels, from friends, a broken marriage and life itself. In mid 2008 Peter left and Mattias Axelsson joined on drums. The band was reformed as a full scale rock band. The album Solutions is a breaking point with harder and darker sound, delicately blended with frail and breathtaking soundscapes. The band played at WGW 2011, the first gig outside Scandinavia. October 2014 saw the release of single Death Row, taken from The Only Time She Moves, the first album with music written by all of the band. The production is bigger than ever. This is evident in the epos Loveland and Gone Tomorrow.
