Tanghetto es una idea del músico y productor Max Masri. La banda ha editado nueve álbumes de estudio y se caracteriza por usar la tecnología como un instrumento más e intentar aportarle algo nuevo al tango. Ha ganado dos premios Gardel, con ocho nominaciones y también cuatro nominaciones al Grammy Latino. Tanghetto ha estado de gira por todo el mundo tocando en lugares como el Lincoln Center en Nueva York, O2 Arena en Londres, The Chicago Symphony Hall, The Festival Cervantino en México, La Ballena Azúl en el CCK, El Festival Latinoamericando en Milán.
