Биография

Bob DiPiero played in rock ‘n’ roll bands in Ohio and used the income to fund his university education. He moved to Nashville in the late 70s to concentrate on songwriting. His first success was with ‘Forever In Your Eyes’ for Reba McEntire and he also wrote ‘Little Rock’ for her. He himself is either a talented Nashville songwriter or his collaborators are, as he rarely writes on his own. His songs include ‘American Made’ (Oak Ridge Boys), ‘Cleopatra, Queen Of Denial’ (Pam Tillis), ‘(Do You Love Me) Just Say Yes’ (Highway 101), ‘Sentimental Ol’ You’ (Charly McClain) and ‘That Rock Won’t Roll’ (Restless Heart). DiPiero was married to Tillis from 1991-98 and is a former president of the Nashville Songwriters’ Association. He is also part of a goodtime band of session men and songwriters, Billy Hill, who have been on the US country charts with ‘Too Much Month At The End Of The Money’ and a revival of the Four Tops’ ‘I Can’t Help Myself’. Recent songs include ‘Ancient History’ (Prairie Oyster), ‘Forgiveness’ (Victoria Shaw), ‘ I Am Just A Rebel’ (Confederate Railroad), ‘Let Me Drive’ (Greg Holland), ‘Take Me As I Am’ (Faith Hill), ‘Take That’ (Lisa Brokop), ‘Wink’ (Neal McCoy) and, best of all, ‘Wild Love’ (Joy Lynn White).
