Influenced by her love of 90’s country female powerhouse artists like Shania Twain and Martina McBride, Angelica Appelman introduced herself to the Canadian country music landscape with her upbeat debut single “Happy Place” in January 2022. “Happy Place” injected a ray of sunshine into the winter season and had listeners dreaming of summer days and finding their happy place in the people they love. The track slotted 5th in the Top Ten Most Active Indies along with 10th in the Top CanCon Downloads on Yangaroo in its first week out of the gate at Canadian country radio. “Happy Place” was also picked up by Top of the Country/SiriusXM. Angelica’s current single “Not Gonna Hurt” (written by fellow Canadian country artists Lydia Sutherland, Aaron Pollock and Rich Cloke) is her most emotional track to date all about dealing with a painful breakup. Appelman continues to explore her stage presence taking the stage as often as possible. She regularly plays Country Nights in The City hosted by Dave Woods at The Moonshine, performed at Harmoniafest and Love Revolution Festival and played during Country Music Week at the CCMA’s on the All Woman Music: Blue Jays Sessions. She will be playing at the Rivoli in Toronto alongside Rich Cloke celebrating the release of her debut EP "A Reason or a Season" in April 2023.
