Биография
🌊🕺🏼It's not just a name, it's a way of life. Life could end anytime so you better dance 🌞 Hailing from the Netherlands, Kita Menari has been in pursuit of euphoria, extracting its essence and distilling it into his songs ever since a near death experience while scuba diving in Malaysia. His newest offering ‘Saturday’, co-written with Morris Brandt of Banji, is testament to his newfound ethos, inviting the listener to “live our saturday like it’s gonna stay forever”. Recalling the likes of MGMT, or Passion Pit, 'Saturday' employs bubbling synth arpeggios, thick bass lines and razor sharp synth chords that sizzle beneath a zealous vocal performance. At times the track appears almost devout - the type of fervent passion one might experience during religious worship. Except instead of a church congregation, thousands of arms raised skyward at a festival or nightclub seem more appropriate. Speaking on the inspiration behind the track, Kita Menari says: “it’s about going from ‘human doing’ to ‘human being’ - living in the now and letting go of all else… I’ve always tried to focus on letting go and giving yourself to a moment. I don’t think there are enough opportunities for people to do this: we work 5 days a week and only give ourselves one vacation a year. I think Music can help us to live in the now. We're occupied with thoughts and feelings of the past and worries of the future.”
