Dept The name “dept” comes from the combination of the word “debt” and “department”. This title implies a sense of aspiration and ambition that my team and I have to repay the “debt” to artists that we respect and have been inspired by in the past. Career Dept debuted in July 2016 with his first single “편하게 들어/listen comfortably”. After that, he was inspired by musical conflicts along with “R&B” and “SoundCloud”, which led to albums in the “PB R&B” genre being released in 2017 and 2018. After feeling a bit skeptical about his music in 2019, he began to explore further into the pop genre in 2020 and has continuously been expanding his range and diversity of genres.
