Fereydoun Shahbazian (11 June 1942 Tehran) Son of Hossein Shahbazian, is a well-known violinist. With the encouragement and guidance of his father, Fereydoon turned to music and studied music at the Higher Conservatory of Music and learned to play the violin. His first violin teacher was Ataollah Khadem Misagh, who soon introduced him to his Russian teacher, Serge Khutsif. He studied with Khutsif until the end of elementary school. After that, he continued to study the violin until obtaining a diploma in playing this instrument, in the night classes of "Luigi Pasanari", which at that time was the concertmaster of the Tehran Symphony Orchestra. At the age of 17, he became a member of the Tehran Symphony Orchestra led by Heshmat Sanjari, after which he began his collaboration with the Radio Golha Orchestra and he composed lasting works such as "Pr Kon Pialeh Ra" and "Goriz". He is a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Tehran. Shahbazian also began composing for film in the 1980s. Another part of the works with the words of Shahbazian to his songs is on the poems that were performed in the form of recitations. Also, in the early 1970, with the efforts of Fereydoun Shahbazian, a collection of voices of contemporary Iranian poets, tapes of stories for children and local and folk songs of Iran were prepared and published in the "Kanoun Parvaresh Fekri". The most important of them: "Robaiyat-e Khayyam" sung by Mohammad Reza Shajarian and narrated by Ahmad Shamlu.
