Lofi-folk artist Hudson Freeman began writing songs during his transient upbringing in South Africa, keeping himself company with a guitar and YouTube videos of Midwestern indie big-hitters like Sufjan Stevens and The National. College years spent in Springfield, MO, gave Hudson and his music a firm spiritual home, and a sturdy DIY platform from which to leap. Now based in Brooklyn, Freeman continues to record and perform songs that are equal-parts resonant, reflective, and pointed.
